LONDONDERRY – Adam Cole, 33, of Londonderry, was taken into custody on Aug. 24 for allegedly causing physical harm to his infant child.

According to the Londonderry Police Department, on July 6, officers received a report about a three-month-old child who had allegedly been physically abused and was under the care of Boston Children’s Hospital.

During the investigation, police determined that the infant sustained “non-accidental” injuries during the early morning hours of July 5. Police established probable cause to charge Cole with second degree assault and endangering the welfare of a child.

Cole was held without bail and was arraigned in Derry District Court on Aug. 25.

Under state law, if convicted, he could face up to eight years in prison, up to five years of probation and up to $6,000 in fines.
