Hudson Police arrest Nashua man for drug and gun offenses

HUDSON – Brandon Hennessy, 32, of Nashua, was taken into custody on Aug. 25 following the alleged seizure of suspected controlled drugs, prescription medications and a gun.

According to the Hudson Police Department, on May 28, officers stopped Hennessy on Lowell Road. The preliminary investigation showed that his driver’s license was suspended as a result of outstanding court fines and a prior conviction for driving after suspension. Officers also reportedly observed suspected drug paraphernalia in Hennessy’s vehicle, which was seized pending a search warrant.

While searching the vehicle at a later date, officers allegedly found suspected crack cocaine and cocaine, numerous prescription medications, drug paraphernalia and a Smith & Wesson .22-caliber firearm.

Hennessy has been charged with three counts of dealing/possessing prescription drugs, two counts of possession of a controlled drug, two counts of the sale of a controlled drug, being a felon in possession of a dangerous weapon, possession of drug paraphernalia and transporting drugs in a motor vehicle.

Hennessy was released on a $400 cash bail and is scheduled to be arraigned in Nashua District Court on Oct. 6.

Under state law, if convicted, he could face up to 104 years in prison, up to 20 years of probation, up to $1,070,000 in fines and having his driver’s license suspended for up to two years.
