NASHUA – Jonathan Murphy, 37, of Nashua, was taken into custody on Aug. 10 for allegedly threatening a family on Cross Street.

According to the Nashua Police Department, officers responded to 14 Cross St. and were allegedly told that Murphy had threatened to kill the victim’s family.

Officers were also shown multiple videos and Facebook messages that Murphy sent making additional deadly threats. One of the videos allegedly showed Murphy firing a gun out the passenger side window of a car.

Murphy has been charged with criminal threatening and was held on preventive detention. He was scheduled to be arraigned in Nashua District Court on Aug. 11.

Under state law, if convicted, he could face up to seven years in prison, up to five years of probation and a fine of up to $4,000.
