CONCORD – Joseph Sawyer, 52, of Townsend, Mass., was indicted on Aug. 5 for the alleged armed robbery at St. Mary’s Bank on Northwest Boulevard.

According to the indictment, on June 12, Sawyer, who was dressed in a suit and tie, walked into the bank and reportedly robbed a teller at gunpoint. He allegedly got away with $6,000.

Under state law, if convicted, Sawyer could face up to 25 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000. He will be back in court at a later date.
