CONCORD – Jose Ortiz, 40, and Jhonattan Jimemenz, 39, both of Boston, pleaded guilty on Aug. 4 to participating in a drug trafficking organization that brought cocaine and fentanyl into New Hampshire.

Ortiz and Jimemenz both pled guilty to conspiracy to distribute a controlled drug. Jimemenz is scheduled to be sentenced on Nov. 12 and Ortiz is scheduled to be sentenced on Dec. 9.

Under federal law, they each face up to 20 years in prison followed by at least three years of supervised release and a fine of up to $1 million.

According to documents and statements made in court, the organization was led by Juan Ramon Soto Baez, 55, who was sentenced on July 1, 2025. He will serve more than eight years in prison followed by three years of supervised release.

The operation had multiple phone lines where customers could call to order narcotics. Soto Baez or one of his drug runners would deliver the order and conduct the sale.

In addition to Soto Baez, Ortiz and Jimenez, more than 10 other defendants have been convicted in connection with the operation.
