NASHUA – Timothy O’Mara, 60, of Nashua, was taken into custody on July 13 for allegedly failing to update his residency status as a sex offender.

According to the Nashua Police Department, on April 22, officers learned that O’Mara was living in a local apartment building two days after he was released on bail from the Valley Street Jail. However, he reportedly failed to provide police with his new address.

Further investigation allegedly revealed that O’Mara also failed to complete his annual sex offender registration.

O’Mara has been charged with two counts of duty to inform-subsequent and duty to report-subsequent.

He was held without bail and was arraigned in Nashua District Court on July 14.

Under state law, if convicted, O’Mara could face up to 45 years in prison, up to 15 years of probation and up to $12,000 in fines.
