City man threatens family member with gun

NASHUA – Everett Rice, 34, of Nashua, was taken into custody on July 13 in connection with an alleged criminal threatening incident.

According to the Nashua Police Department, on July 12, officers responded to a report indicating that Rice sent a picture of a gun to a family member. He also allegedly sent text messages to that person stating that he intended to harm them.

After further investigation, police learned that the firearm in the picture was a BB gun.

Rice has been charged with domestic violence: criminal threatening with a deadly weapon and domestic violence: criminal threatening-domestic violence.

He was held without bail and was scheduled to be arraigned in Nashua District Court on July 14.

Under state law, if convicted, he could face up to eight years in prison, up to five years of probation and up to $6,000 in fines.
