Six charged with firing gun in residential neighborhood

NASHUA – Yariel Gonzalez, 20, Raymond Garcia Jr., 20, Jay Escobar, 19, Kyle Anctil, 18, and two individuals under 18, all of Nashua, were taken into custody on June 30 in connection with an alleged gunfire incident on Fourth and Sixth streets.
According to the Nashua Police Department, on June 15, officers responded to a report of shots fired on Fourth Street. Witnesses also reported hearing gunfire on Sixth Street.
During the investigation, officers learned that one victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries during the incident. They also discovered that a vehicle and a home were damaged.
Garcia, Escobar, Anctil and the individuals under 18 have been charged with riot.
Under state law, if convicted the individuals under 18 could each face up to one year in a juvenile detention facility and a fine of up to $250. Garcia, Escobar, Anctil could each face up to seven years in prison, up to five years of probation and a fine of up to $4,000.

Gonzalez has been charged with riot with a firearm, reckless conduct with a deadly weapon, felonious use of a firearm and falsifying physical evidence.
Under state law, if convicted, he could face up to 41 years in prison, up to 15 years of probation and up to $12,000 in fines.
Gonzalez, Escobar and Anctil were held on preventive detention and were arraigned in Nashua District Court on July 1. Garcia was released on a $500 cash bail and is scheduled to be arraigned in Nashua District Court on Aug. 5.
