Nashua woman charged with strangling young boy

NASHUA – Angelika Maigatter, 55, of Nashua, was taken into custody on July 1 following an alleged domestic violence incident.

According to the Nashua Police Department, officers responded to a 911 hang-up call on June 30. The victim, a young boy that Maigatter knew, said she strangled him during a physical confrontation.

Maigatter has been charged with second degree assault-strangulation (domestic violence).

She was held without bail pending and was arraigned in Nashua District Court on July 2.

Under state law, if convicted, Maigatter could face up to seven years in prison, up to five years of probation and a fine of up to $4,000.
