Nashua man charged with assaulting nephew

NASHUA – Emmanuel Forbes, 43, of Nashua, was taken into custody on June 10 for allegedly assaulting his nephew.
According to the Nashua Police Department, officers were notified by the Division for Children, Youth and Families that the boy arrived at school with bruises. The letter also indicated that Forbes was the boy’s uncle and guardian.
Forbes has been charged with five counts of second degree assault-domestic violence.
He was held without bail and was scheduled to be arraigned in Nashua District Court on June 11.
Under state law, if convicted, he could face up to 35 years in prison, up to 25 years of probation and up to $20,000 in fines.
