Tyngsborough man dies after being thrown from vehicle

DRACUT, Mass. — Damian Torres, 48, of Tyngsborough, Mass., was killed on the night of May 5 in a head-on crash on Merrimack Avenue.
At approximately 8:35 p.m., Dracut Police and Fire responded to the two-vehicle rollover crash at 166 Merrimack Ave. While en route, first responders were told that one of the occupants was thrown from a vehicle.
Upon arrival, rescue personnel found Torres laying unconscious on the road near his Jeep Wrangler that was on its side.
An off-duty EMT from Pridestar Trinity EMS was already at the scene attempting to revive Torres with cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Torres was taken to Lowell General Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
A woman and a teenager were in the other vehicle, a Subaru Forester. They were treated at the scene for minor injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
Originally from Lawrence, Mass., Torres was the owner of Sentry Glass, according to his obituary. He also enjoyed visiting family in Puerto Rico, taking cruises and fishing.
