City man accused of being accomplice in Eaton Street shooting

NASHUA – Jefferson Vidal-Morel, 20, of Nashua, was taken into custody on May 5 for his alleged involvement in the Eaton Street shooting three days earlier.
According to the Nashua Police Department, detectives determined that Vidal-Morel used a gun to threaten several individuals during the incident on Eaton Street. He then reportedly gave the weapon to Anger Peguero, who allegedly shot a man in the leg.
Vidal-Morel has been charged with first degree assault (accomplice), attempted first degree assault (accomplice), two counts of criminal threatening, felonious use of firearms and acts prohibited sale of a controlled drug (crack cocaine).
Vidal-Morel was held without bail and was scheduled to be arraigned in Nashua District Court on May 6.
Under state law, if convicted, he could face up to 81 years in prison, up to 25 years of probation and up to $520,000 in fines.
