Argument leads to city man fighting officers

NASHUA – Daniel Kalinowski, 42, of Nashua, was taken into custody on April 28 following a verbal dispute that reportedly got out of control.
According to the Nashua Police Department, on April 28, Kalinowski was allegedly observed arguing with a woman behind the Nashua Public Library. When officers approached him, Kalinowski allegedly became combative and tried to jump down an embankment leading to the Nashua River.
He has been charged with two counts of attempted second degree assault, domestic violence criminal mischief and resisting arrest.
Kalinowski was held on preventive detention and was scheduled to be arraigned in Nashua District Court on April 29.
Under state law, if convicted, Kalinowski could face up to 16 years in prison, up to 10 years of probation and up to $12,000 in fines.
