Nashua man charged in domestic dispute

NASHUA – Michael Hayward, 40, of Nashua, was taken into custody on April 24 following an alleged domestic incident.
According to the Nashua Police Department, officers responded to a domestic dispute and were told by the female victim that Hayward punched her in the face and broke her nose. She also said he choked her and pushed her to the ground multiple times.
Hayward allegedly resisted officers as they placed him under arrest.
He has been charged with two counts of second degree assault-domestic violence, four counts of domestic violence, simple assault, criminal mischief and resisting arrest/detention.
Hayward was held without bail and was scheduled to be arraigned in Nashua District Court on April 27.
Under state law, if convicted, he could face up to 20 years in prison, up to 10 years of probation and up to $20,000 in fines.
