City man facing domestic violence charges

NASHUA – Godgiven Senga, 47, of Nashua, was taken into custody on April 16 following an alleged domestic violence incident.
According to the Nashua Police Department, the victim told officers that Senga strangled her to the point where she was unable to breathe. She also allegedly said that Senga scratched her face several times and would not let her leave the apartment.
Senga has been charged with second degree assault (strangulation)-domestic violence, domestic violence-false imprisonment and simple assault-domestic violence.
He was held without bail and was arraigned in Nashua District Court on April 17.
Under state law, if convicted, he could face up to nine years in prison, up to five years of probation and up to $8,000 in fines.
