Nashua man charged in gun disturbance

NASHUA – Matthew Maynard, 36, of Nashua, was taken into custody on March 29 following an alleged disturbance at La Michoacana Market.
According to the Nashua Police Department, officers responded to the scene at 112 Pine St. and learned that Maynard was reportedly “pointing a gun at people in the area.” He was later located in the alley next to the store and was placed under arrest. The firearm was also recovered at the scene.
Maynard has been charged with resisting arrest/detention and criminal threatening with a deadly weapon (firearm).
He was held on preventive detention and was scheduled to be arraigned in Nashua District Court on March 30.
Under state law, if convicted, he could face up to eight years in prison, up to five years of probation and up to $6,000 in fines.
