City man charged in Spring Street stabbing

NASHUA – Maycol Castillo Sanchez, 24, of Nashua, was taken into custody on March 28 in connection with a stabbing on Spring Street.
According to the Nashua Police Department, officers responded to the scene and found a man suffering from multiple nonlife-threatening stab wounds. Although Castillo Sanchez had fled the scene, the victim was able to provide officers with a description of the attacker.
Castillo Sanchez has been charged with two counts of second degree assault and resisting arrest/detention.
He was held on preventive detention and was scheduled to be arraigned in Nashua District Court on March 30.
Under state law, if convicted, he could face up to 15 years in prison, up to 10 years of probation and up to $10,000 in fines.
