City man charged in Cross Street altercation

NASHUA – Howard Harrison, 40, of Nashua, was taken into custody on March 24 following an alleged domestic violence incident.

According to the Nashua Police Department, officers responded to the scene on Cross Street where the female victim reported being assaulted and strangled by Harrison.

Detectives reportedly observed the assault while reviewing video surveillance footage.

Harrison has been charged with second degree assault domestic violence-strangulation and six counts of domestic violence simple assault.

He was held on preventive detention and was scheduled to be arraigned in Nashua District Court on March 25.

Under state law, if convicted, Harrison could face up to 13 years in prison, up to five years of probation and up to $16,000 in fines.
