Hudson women faces charges of domestic violence

HUDSON – Perette Cook, 53, of Hudson, was taken into custody on March 5 following an alleged domestic violence incident.
According to the Hudson Police Department, at 2:56 p.m., officers responded to a home where Cook had entered without permission. She reportedly confronted the male victim, who was in the shower, and punched him in the face. The confrontation escalated onto the second floor balcony as Cook continued to strike the victim.
The victim allegedly told officers that Cook also hit him in the arm with a fireplace log before fleeing the scene in a vehicle. As a result, the victim suffered a split lip and a bruised arm.
A short time later, officers located Cook’s vehicle in the area of Central Street and Kimball Hill Road. After she was arrested, police reportedly found several pills in her purse that did not match the label on the prescription bottle.
Cook has been charged with three counts of domestic violence-simple assault, two counts of domestic violence-second degree assault, two counts of possession of a controlled drug and burglary.
Cook was held without bail at the Hillsborough County House of Corrections. She was scheduled to be arraigned in Nashua District Court on March 6.
Under state law, if convicted, Cook could face up to 46 years in prison, up to 25 years of probation and up to $68,000 in fines.
