Massachusetts man seriously injured in Londonderry crash

LONDONDERRY – Felix Medina, 40, of Lawrence, Mass., suffered serious injuries when he was struck by a vehicle on Interstate 93 on the morning of Feb. 28.

According to State Police, Medina had stopped in the right breakdown lane at exit 5 on I-93 South just before 11 a.m. He had reportedly stopped to address a “possible mechanical issue.”

After stepping out of his vehicle, Medina was hit by David Jodoin, 43, of Londonderry, who was driving a Chevrolet Malibu. Jodoin remained at the scene and cooperated with police. Medina was flown to Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington, Mass.

The Londonderry Fire Department and the state Department of Transportation also responded to the incident.

At this time, no charges have been filed and the crash remains under investigation.
