Hudson woman charged with passing bad check

NASHUA – Kerri King, 42, of Hudson, was taken into custody on Feb. 18 for allegedly cashing a fraudulent check.
According to the Nashua Police Department, on Jan. 15, officers received a report from the Tropical Side Brazilian Store at 6 Kinsley St. indicating that King cashed a $1,600 check which came back as fake.
King has been charged with forgery and theft by deception.
She was released on personal recognizance bail and is scheduled to be arraigned in Nashua District Court on March 19.
Under state law, if convicted, she could face up to 22 years in prison, up to 10 years of probation and up to $8,000 in fines.
