City woman charged with wrong way driving on Turnpike

NASHUA – Madison Bryson-Poliquin, 21, of Nashua, was taken into custody on Feb. 1 after allegedly driving the wrong way on the F.E. Everett Turnpike.

According to State Police, at 1:35 a.m., Trooper Shane Mason responded to Exit 4 and reportedly found Bryson-Poliquin travelling southbound in the northbound lane. Mason attempted to conduct a traffic stop; however, Bryson-Poliquin refused to pull over.

Seconds later, she crashed into a Nissan Rogue. The driver of that vehicle was taken to an area hospital with serious but nonlife-threatening injuries.

Bryson-Poliquin has been charged with reckless conduct with deadly weapon, driving under the influence and reckless conduct.

She was released on personal recognizance and is scheduled to be arraigned in Nashua District Court on Feb. 11.

Under state law, if convicted, Bryson-Poliquin could face up to seven years in prison, up to five years of probation, having her driver’s license suspended for at least three months and up to $4,500 in fines.
