By Christopher Roberson - Staff Writer | Jan 31, 2026

CONCORD – Tanya Hunter, 40, of Nashua, pleaded guilty, on Jan. 29, to making a false statement to purchase a gun for a Massachusetts man.

According to court documents, on Dec. 20, 2023, Hunter purchased the gun from a federally licensed firearms dealer in Hudson. While filling out a form for the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, Hunter indicated that she was the actual buyer or transferee.

Police determined that Hunter’s information was false when they later recovered the gun at a crime scene in Massachusetts.

Hunter now faces up to 10 years in prison, up to three years of supervised release and a fine of up to $250,000.

She is scheduled to be sentenced on May 11.
