City man charged in airport assault

NASHUA – Jeovan Morales, 22, of Nashua, was taken into custody on Jan. 15 in connection with an assault at Nashua Airport.
According to the Nashua Police Department, officers responded to a 911 hang-up call from the airport’s parking lot. Upon arrival, police located an occupied vehicle and proceeded to check on the occupants. As officers approached, the alleged female victim exited the vehicle yelling: “he pointed a gun at me.”
She also reportedly told officers that Morales physically assaulted her, choked her, pointed a gun at her head and prevented her from calling the police. A firearm was recovered at the scene.
Morales has been charged with criminal threatening-domestic violence with a deadly weapon (firearm), two counts of second degree assault-domestic violence; strangulation, two counts of domestic violence; simple assault and obstructing the report of a crime or injury-domestic violence.
He was held without bail pending his arraignment in Nashua District Court on Jan. 16.
Under state law, if convicted, Morales could face up to 24 years in prison, up to 15 years of probation and up to $18,000 in fines.
