HUDSON — Anthony DiMascio, 53, of Litchfield, was taken into custody on Dec. 22 on allegations that he sexually abused and exploited a teenage girl.
According to the Hudson Police Department, the girl was a student in DiMascio’s Hudson karate class.
Former employees at the karate dojo noticed the inappropriate relationship and alerted police.
After further investigation, police discovered that the relationship included physical contact and had allegedly been going on for two years.
Police seized electronic storage devices while searching DiMascio’s residence. The devices reportedly held video files and communications that reinforced what investigators had previously learned.
DiMascio has been charged with aggravated felonious sexual assault, manufacturing child abuse images and endangering the welfare of a child.
He was held on preventative detention pending his arraignment in Nashua District Court on Dec. 23.
Under state law, if convicted, DiMascio could face up to 57 years in prison, up to $12,000 in fines and supervised release for up to the rest of his life.
