NASHUA – Liam McCurdy, 34, of Manchester, was taken into custody on Dec. 17 in connection with an alleged domestic violence incident.

According to the Nashua Police Department, the female victim told officers that she knew McCurdy and that he stood in front of her vehicle to stop her from driving away. He then allegedly climbed on her vehicle causing damage.

As detectives continued the investigation, they learned that from Dec. 11-17, McCurdy had targeted the same victim in other incidents involving assault and property damage.

He has been charged with five counts of second degree assault: strangulation-domestic violence, domestic violence-false imprisonment and criminal mischief.

McCurdy was held without bail pending his arraignment in Nashua District Court on Dec. 18.

Under state law, if convicted, he could face up to 37 years in prison, up to 25 years of probation and up to $24,000 in fines.
