Nashua man charged in domestic violence incident

NASHUA – Amilcar Solis, 49, of Nashua, was taken into custody on Nov. 21 in connection with a domestic violence incident.
According to the Nashua Police Department, officers responded to the scene and were told by witnesses that they saw Solis naked kneeling over a woman who was partially undressed. It was also reported that the victim knew Solis and that she was found to be unconscious.
He has been charged with attempted aggravated felonious sexual assault-domestic violence.
Solis was not eligible for bail based on the nature of the alleged offense. He was scheduled to be arraigned in Nashua District Court on Nov. 24.
Under state law, if convicted, he could face up to 20 years in prison and supervised release for the remainder of his life.
