Repeat offender charged with not updating sex offender info

NASHUA – Chad Silver, 42, of Nashua, who is currently facing domestic violence charges, was charged, on Nov. 13, with failing to update his sex offender registration.

According to the Nashua Police Department, officers discovered that Silver had not disclosed that he had a change in employment.

He was charged with change of registration information; duty to inform, (subsequent offense).

Silver is currently being held on preventative detention at the Hillsborough County House of Corrections. He was scheduled to be arraigned on the new charge in Nashua District Court on Nov. 14.

Combined with the domestic violence charges, under state law, if convicted, he could face up to 29 years in prison, up to 15 years of probation and up to $12,000 in fines.

Silver also has a history of 17 convictions going back to June 2002.
