Gate City Casino adding video lottery terminals on reconfigured gaming floor

By Staff | Nov 8, 2025

NASHUA – Gate City Casino is adding video lottery terminals to its gaming floor, replacing a majority of the historic horse racing gaming machines that were installed in 2023.

More than 270 VLTs, which are traditional slot machines, have already been added to the reconfigured gaming floor. The transition began in September and is expected to be completed by the end of this month. When completed, more than 300 VLTs, and a selection of the most popular HHR gaming machines, will be featured on a more spacious and comfortable floor layout.

The change to VLTs was made possible by a new law governing the state’s highly successful charitable gaming program and introducing a new revenue-sharing system. VLTs use random number generation to determine payouts rather than the results of historic horse races, resulting in more chance, real-time outcomes.

“Gate City Casino is proud to add VLTs to our popular gaming floor and excited for our guests to have more of a Las Vegas-style gaming machine experience and for our charity partners to benefit,” said Andrew Gentile, general manager of Gate City Casino. “This represents another significant investment in Gate City Casino since Delaware North purchased its predecessor, Boston Billiard Club, in 2022.”

Gaming machine manufacturers also offer more titles and brands of slot machines than are available with HHR.

“Among the new themes and beloved classics that we are featuring are Dragon Link, Huff n’ Even More Puff Grand, NFL Triple Score Jackpots, Mo Mummy, Phoenix Link and Ultimate Fire Link,” Gentile said.
