City man charged with CSAI and manufacturing marijuana

NASHUA – Joshua Brown, 39, of Nashua, was taken into custody on Nov. 6 for the alleged possession of child sexual abuse images and the production of marijuana.
According to the Nashua Police Department, in August, the department’s Cybercrimes Against Children Unit was made aware that a Nashua resident was in possession of CSAI.
During the investigation, detectives reportedly connected Brown with the CSAI possession.
While executing a search warrant on Brown and his residence, detectives seized his electronic devices and allegedly discovered more than 1,600 child sexual abuse images on his cell phone.
In addition, detectives reportedly learned that Brown had been manufacturing marijuana and found more than 10 pounds of the drug packaged in his residence.
Brown has been charged with four counts of possession of CSAI and acts prohibited: manufacture a controlled drug (marijuana in a quantity of five pounds or more).
Brown was held without bail and was scheduled to be arraigned in Nashua District Court on Nov. 7.
Under state law, if convicted, Brown could face up to 90 years in prison, up to 20 years of probation and up to $516,000 in fines.
