Pop-Up Pantries to move inside for winter

By Staff | Oct 25, 2025

NASHUA – Beginning the week of Nov. 3, the Pop-Up Pantries organized by the United Way of Greater Nashua will move to their indoor winter locations.

This ensures that the vital food distribution program can continue serving residents comfortably and safely throughout the colder months.

Since their launch in April 2020, the Pop-Up Pantries have served 43,475 clients, underscoring their vital role in addressing food insecurity in the region.

Recent data indicates that food insecurity has been on the rise in New Hampshire. According to a 2024 report by Feeding America, approximately 135,200 residents experience food insecurity. Additionally, 13.4 percent of children in the state are affected by food insecurity.

The Pop-Up Pantries operate at various locations throughout Nashua every weekday, ensuring that residents have convenient access to essential groceries, including fresh produce and meats. Food is sourced from the local nonprofit organization, Regenerative Roots, which builds resilient communities through sustainable food practices, as well as from weekly United Way food drives at local supermarkets.

Volunteers, many of whom have been with the program since its inception, work tirelessly to distribute these resources to the community.

The indoor locations are as follows:

-Mondays: Harbor Care, 45 High St.

-Tuesdays: Girls Inc., 27 Burke St.

-Wednesdays: Arlington Street Community Center, 36 Arlington St.

-Thursdays: Nashua Community Music School, 2 Lock St.

-Fridays: Crossway Christian Church. 33 Pine St.

All Pop-Up Pantries will be open from 11 a.m. to noon.

Anyone interested in volunteering or donating can visit www.unitedwaynashua.org or contact United Way at info@unitedwaynashua.org or call 603-882-4011. Nonperishable food donations are accepted at the United Way of Greater Nashua office at 20 Broad St. on weekdays from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
