United Way announces Care-E-Oke and Pub Crawl

By Staff | Oct 20, 2025

NASHUA – The United Way of Greater Nashua will be hosting its Care-E-Oke competition on Nov. 8 and the Betting on the Community Poker Hand Pub Crawl on Nov. 15.

Both events raise funds that support the United Way’s local programs in health, education and financial stability.

Sing your heart out at United Way’s third annual Care-E-Oke, a lively karaoke competition where participants of all skill levels take the stage to entertain a live audience.

Cynthia Whitaker, president and CEO of Greater Nashua Mental Health, will host the evening. Funds raised benefit the United Way’s Community Safety Net, supporting numerous local agencies and programs as well as United Way programs focused on digital barriers, economic mobility, early learning supports and food security.

During the second annual Pub Crawl, participants will visit five downtown venues and collect playing cards with drink purchases at each stop. The player with the best poker hand wins a cash prize. All proceeds support United Way programs focused on education, health and financial stability.

Registration is $25 and is available at https://tinyurl.com/uwpubcrawl25. Guests will enjoy special pricing at each bar while supporting local businesses and meeting new friends along the way.

“These events are a great way for our community to come together whether it’s singing, socializing or raising a hand of cards all while supporting neighbors in need,” said Michael Apfelberg, president of the United Way of Greater Nashua.
