NASHUA – Artists Fee the Evolutionist and Ruby Shabazz, both of Nashua, were recently nominated for this year’s New England Music Awards.
Fee is a nominee for Hip-Hop Act of the Year and Shabazz, his wife, has been nominated for Soul/R&B Act of the Year. The awards ceremony will be held in November.
The couple thanked supporters in a video for the nominations, which build on their past NEMA successes: Shabazz won in 2024 for Soul/R&B and Fee won the New Hampshire: Rising Star award in 2022. The announcement is a high point for the artists, who have been making significant waves in the regional music scene.
“It’s a huge honor to be recognized among New England’s top musical talent,” said Fee. “To have both of us nominated in the same year is incredible. It’s a testament to the hard work we’ve put in and the amazing community that supports us.”
