City man accused of credit card fraud

NASHUA – Adam Masseur, 36, of Nashua, was taken into custody on Aug. 30 for alleged credit card fraud.

According to the Nashua Police Department, on May 5, officers received a report of credit card fraud that was in excess of $7,800.

Detectives with the Criminal Investigation Division continued the investigation and identified Masseur as their suspect.

Masseur has been charged with two counts of fraudulent use of a credit card and receiving stolen property.

He was held on a $200 cash bail and was scheduled to be arraigned in Nashua District Court on Sept. 2.

Under state law, if convicted, Masseur could face up to 45 years in prison, up to 15 years of probation and up to $12,000 in fines.

According to police, Masseur was also arrested on June 2 for a series of motor vehicle offenses. At that time, officers allegedly found a stolen handgun in a lockbox in the back seat of the vehicle. Prior to the June arrest, he was apprehended on March 27 and charged with three counts of theft. In late-November 2024, Masseur was identified as the suspect in a robbery at the Target on Daniel Webster Highway.
