NASHUA – The home at 24 Spindlewick Dr. was ravaged by a two-alarm fire shortly after 3 a.m. on Aug. 24.
According to Nashua Fire Rescue, firefighters with Engine 6 were the first to arrive and reported “heavy fire” shooting out of the two-story residence.
Joined by other engine companies, Engine 6 used a number of hoses to attack the flames, which had spread throughout the home and into the attic.
The size of the blaze prompted Lt. Joshua Hansen to issue a second alarm. The fire was then brought under control within an hour. However, the home sustained extensive fire and smoke damage and is not habitable.
No injuries were reported and the American Red Cross is in the process of assisting two residents who were displaced. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
