NASHUA – Dr. Justin Gerstenfield, an accomplished higher education administrator with extensive experience in technology, data analytics and research, recently announced his candidacy for alderman in Ward 5.

“My family and I were welcomed to Nashua with open arms,” said Gerstenfield. “This is where we planted our roots, built lasting relationships, and found a true sense of community. We have been fortunate to have an exceptional Ward 5 Alderman who has set a high standard for leadership, and I hope to follow that example. Participating in the mayor’s City Academy also showed me how much our city leaders care for Nashua, and I want to be part of that care team–working to support our residents and strengthen our community.”

Gerstenfield holds a doctorate in higher education leadership from Texas Christian University and has built a career leading initiatives that apply data-driven strategies to improve outcomes and efficiency. His decision-making is grounded in thoughtful review of data, research and facts that directly support student success and persistence–experience he intends to bring to City Hall to ensure residents have access to effective, responsive city services.

If elected, Gerstenfield pledges to:

-Preserve Ward 5’s neighborhood character while supporting balanced, thoughtful growth.

-Improve access and knowledge of/to city services by applying technology and communication best practices.

-Foster transparent, responsive governance that listens to residents and follows through on commitments.

This year’s election will be held on Nov. 4. More information about Gerstenfield’s campaign is available at www.teamgerstenfield.com.
