Hudson woman charged with DUI, assaulting officer

HUDSON — Kerry Coughlin of Hudson was taken into custody on Aug. 6 after being stopped for speeding and lack of lane control on Lowell Road.

According to the Hudson Police Department, officers determined that Coughlin was under the influence and placed her under arrest shortly after 2 a.m. During that process, she allegedly became combative with police.

Coughlin has been charged with three counts of resisting arrest or detention, driving under the influence, criminal mischief and simple assault on a police officer.

Coughlin was taken to the Hillsborough County House of Corrections and was scheduled to be arraigned in Nashua District Court on Aug. 21.

Under state law, if convicted, she could face up to five years in prison and up to $10,000 in fines.
