Maurice Robert Fournier

Maurice Robert Fournier, 85, a lifelong Nashua resident, passed away at his home, early Wednesday morning, June 25, 2025.

Born in Nashua on August 12, 1939, he was the son of the late Maurice L. and Marie-Anne (Dussault) Fournier. Educated in local schools, “Moe” was inducted into the Army on September 23, 1957 and was stationed at the Schofield Barracks in Oahu, Hawaii. He was a drummer with the Army Band and served until his honorable discharge on September 22, 1960 and held the rank of Specialist 4.

Moe had been employed with Sanders Associates and their successor BAE Systems as a senior planner buyer for twenty-seven years.

In his leisure time, Moe enjoyed playing drums with several jazz bands around the Nashua area for many years. He was a communicant of St. Patrick Church.

Members of his family include his wife, Peggy A. (Anderson) Fournier, whom he married on June 18, 1960 in Honolulu, Hawaii. The couple celebrated their 65th anniversary last week; his three children and their spouses, Keith and Joanne Fournier, Kevin and Rose Fournier and Kathie and David Stringham; four grandchildren, Stephen, Anne, Ryan and Emmett; three great-grandchildren, Isla, Zoe and Ashley; two sisters, Jeannette Turcotte and Florence Novick and her husband Wesley; also nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, Moe was predeceased by two sisters, Noella M. Rainville and Lucille Derderian; and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-laws.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Patrick Church, 29 Spring Street, Nashua, Wednesday, July 2nd at 9 a.m. Family and friends are invited to attend.
