NASHUA – Travis Morgan, 42, of Nashua, was taken into custody following an altercation on June 8.

According to the Nashua Police Department, officers responded to Pine Street Extension and spoke with two victims who said Morgan had threatened them with a pair of scissors. Morgan then threw the scissors into the woods when he was told that police were on the way.

Detectives with the Criminal Investigation Division continued the investigation and recovered the scissors that Morgan had discarded earlier.

He has been charged with two counts of criminal threatening with a deadly weapon, falsifying physical evidence and resisting arrest.

Morgan was held on preventative detention and was scheduled to be arraigned in Nashua District Court on June 9.

Under state law, if convicted, Morgan could face up to 22 years in prison, up to 15 years of probation and up to $14,000 in fines.

On July 17, 2024, Morgan was arrested after he reportedly cut open a tent at a homeless encampment on Locke Street and threatened the occupant with a machete. He then jumped into the Merrimack River in a desperate attempt to evade police.
