LOWELL, Mass. – John Stamos, who starred as Jesse Katsopolis on the family favorite sitcom Full House, will be performing with The Beach Boys at Lowell Memorial Auditorium, 50 East Merrimack St. in Lowell, Mass.
The show will be on June 10 at 7:30 p.m. It is part of the band’s Sounds of Summer tour as well as the 2025 Celebrity Forum sponsored by Middlesex Community College.
Stamos has a longstanding relationship with The Beach Boys dating back to July 4, 1985 when he played his first official show with the iconic band at the Washington Monument before a crowd of nearly a million people. Stamos aimed to introduce a younger generation to the timeless music of The Beach Boys and prominently featured the band on Full House and his subsequent television shows.
“Middlesex is excited to bring the legendary Beach Boys and John Stamos to the Lowell Memorial Auditorium stage this spring,” said MCC President Philip Sisson. “Thank you to the MCC Foundation for their continued work in offering our community inspiring culture and entertainment as well as our students with the support they need to be successful. We are also grateful to our generous sponsors for donating their time, effort and money to provide our students with experiences and opportunities to help them reach their goals and pursue their dreams. I look forward to another incredible evening of music and celebration while listening to the iconic Beach Boys and their special guest.”
“Both MCC and the Foundation are honored to welcome The Beach Boys and John Stamos at this year’s Celebrity Forum,” said Judith Burke, MCC’s vice president of Institutional Advancement and Workforce Development. “The Beach Boys music is interwoven into the culture of America. They are great role models for our students, for they consistently display surreal creativity, hard work, resilience and unification. For over 25 years, the event has recognized the work the college does for students, raised important funds to provide students with educational opportunities, and offered cultural enrichment to the community. Thank you to the Beach Boys and John Stamos for joining us and to Spectacle Live, our partners and sponsors for helping make this event possible.”
Since the band’s frontman Mike Love penned the lyrics to The Beach Boys’ first hit, “Surfin'” in 1961, dozens of the band’s chart toppers have become eternal anthems of American youth: “Surfin’ USA,” “Surfer Girl,” “Fun, Fun, Fun,” “I Get Around,” “California Girls,” “Help Me Rhonda,” “Barbara Ann,” “Good Vibrations,” “Wouldn’t It Be Nice,” “Rock and Roll Music” and “Kokomo.”
During the past 50 years, the Beach Boys have performed more concerts than any other major rock band in history. The band has sold more than 100 million records worldwide and have received more than 33 Platinum and Gold record awards from the Recording Industry Association of America.
