HUDSON – Alexander Doyle, 20, of Barnstead, was taken into custody on May 18 after crashing into Robinson Pond.
According to the Hudson Police Department, officers responded to the residence at 25 Lawrence Rd. at 2:28 a.m. where they found Doyle and his Hyundai Santa Fe with its rear tires in the pond.
The preliminary investigation suggested that Doyle was traveling south on Robinson Road toward the intersection with Lawrence Road. After passing through the intersection, Doyle turned on to a private driveway. He then reportedly struck the deck connected to the home and put the vehicle in reverse. At that point, Doyle drove over a retaining wall and into the pond.
No injuries were reported. Police later determined that Doyle was under the influence and charged him with aggravated DWI.
Under state law, if convicted, Doyle could face up to one year in prison, a fine of up to $2,000 and could have his driver’s license suspended for up to two years.
He was released on personal recognizance bail and is scheduled to be arraigned in Nashua District Court on May 29.
