Granite State Blues Society accepting applications for Blues Challenge
LONDONDERRY – The Granite State Blues Society is currently taking applications from musicians who would like to compete in the Granite State Blues Challenge.
The event will be held on May 18 at 1 p.m. at Stumble Inn, 20 Rockingham Rd. in Londonderry. Artists should bring their own mics and mic stands, and provide stage plots with applications for the sound tech. The deadline to enter is May 10.
The winner will represent New Hampshire at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Tenn. in January 2026.
The International Blues Challenge is the crowning event of a worldwide search for blues bands and solo/duo blues performers who are ready for the international stage, yet just need that extra big break. The world’s largest gathering of blues musicians will take place on Beale Street, with more than 20 clubs hosting the challengers and fans. In addition to featuring these final rounds of the prestigious blues music competition, the IBC event week will offer seminars, showcases, master classes, film screenings, networking events, book signings and receptions for blues societies, fans and professionals.
Applications can be found at granitestateblues.org. Be sure to apply soon, as only a limited number of entrants can be admitted.
The Granite State Blues Society is an all-volunteer grassroots organization. Formed and incorporated in 2002, it is a nonprofit organization and an affiliate of the Blues Foundation.
