Morante charged with threatening family member with knife

NASHUA – Edward Morante, 27, of Nashua, was taken into custody on April 18 following a domestic dispute involving a knife.
According to the Nashua Police Department, officers were told that Morante used the knife to threaten a member of his family.
Detectives with the Special Investigations Division continued the investigation and charged him with four counts of criminal threatening – domestic violence with a deadly weapon.
Under state law, if convicted, Morante could face up to 28 years in prison, up to 20 years of probation and up to $16,000 in fines.
Morante was held without bail and was scheduled to be arraigned telephonically on April 19.
