Public invited to attend City Academy Series
NASHUA – Registration is now open for residents to attend Nashua City Academy, which will be starting on May 1.
The free eight-week program is designed to engage and educate residents about the city’s government, services and community initiatives. Residents can expect interactive workshops led by city officials and experts, behind-the-scenes tours, discussions on upcoming city projects and opportunities to ask questions.
The series will be held on Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. from May 1 through June 19. The city asks that participants commit to attending at least six of the eight sessions.
The current schedule is as follows:
May 1 – Arlington Street Community Center, 36 Arlington St.
May 8 – Public Health & Community Services Building, 18 Mulberry St.
May 15 – Nashua Public Library (optional tour at 6 p.m.), 2 Court St.
May 22 – City Hall, 229 Main St.
May 29 – City Hall, 229 Main St.
June 5 – Division of Public Works Building (optional tour at 6 p.m.), 848 West Hollis St.
June 12 – Nashua Police Department, 28 James Roche Dr.
June 19 – Nashua Fire Rescue and Emergency Management – 177 Lake St.
The series will conclude with a graduation ceremony
Attendees must be at least 16 years old and a Nashua resident.
