Guardian Angel Senior Services receives Workforce Recruitment and Retention Grant

By Staff | Mar 26, 2025

BEDFORD – Guardian Angel Senior Services, a privately owned senior home care company, recently announced that it has been awarded a Home and Community Based Services Workforce Recruitment and Retention Grant from the state Department of Health and Human Services.

The grant will be used to offer scholarships for home health aide and licensed nursing assistant training and mentorship programs in southern New Hampshire.

The funds will primarily support the recruitment and training of home health aide and LNA candidates in Hillsborough and Merrimack counties in partnership with LNA Health Careers locations in Manchester and Concord. Guardian Angel is also partnering with the Community College System of New Hampshire to provide LNA education and training in Cheshire and Rockingham counties.

“With demand on the rise for our services, we are focused on bringing loving and caring people into the home health care profession,” said Melanie Lewis, founder and co-owner of Guardian Angel. “We also want to assist those already working in the field with advancing their certifications by becoming LNAs. This workforce grant from the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services will make a major impact in the local economy while helping people advance careers and allowing more seniors to stay healthy and happy in their own homes.”
