Hudson man dies in New York car crash

AMSTERDAM, N.Y. — Cole Sevigny, 26, of Hudson, was killed on the evening of Feb. 20 by an alleged drunk driver.

According to police, Sevigny was struck head-on by a 59-year-old woman who was travelling the wrong way on Interstate 90. Her identity has not been released.

Sevigny was later pronounced dead at St. Mary’s Hospital.

According to his obituary, Sevigny was born on May 8, 1998 and had lived in Hudson since 2004.

After graduating Alvirne High School in 2015, Sevigny went to work for his father as a technician at DC ATM Systems.

Described as a “big teddy bear with a heart of gold,” Sevigny was also an avid gamer with a particular fondness for Dungeon & Dragons and Chess.

Sevigny and his fiancé Rain were planning to get married this August.
