Two Windham residents arrested in connection with midnight fight

MANCHESTER – Matthew Johnson, 24, and Sophia Santosuosso, 23, both of Windham, were recently taken into custody for their alleged involvement in a “late night brawl” in Manchester last November.

According to the Manchester Police Department, officers responded to Holt Avenue and William Loeb Drive shortly after midnight on Nov. 30, 2024 for a report of a car meet. During the event, a fight broke out resulting in a single gunshot.

Further investigation indicated that the fight began with two women with several men later getting involved.

Santosuosso has been charged with felony riot. Johnson has been charged with felony riot, reckless conduct with a deadly weapon, criminal threatening with a deadly weapon and criminal mischief.

Under state law, if convicted, Santosuosso could face up to seven years in prison, up to five years probation and a fine of up to $4,000. Johnson could face up to 28 years in prison, up to 20 years of probation and up to $16,000 in fines.

Other suspects that were placed under arrest included Omar Chatila, 19, of Derry, Kalyse Allar-Foote, 20, of Franklin and Christopher Armstrong, 23, of Raynham, Mass.
