HOLLIS – Despite being plagued by a myriad of downfalls and adversity earlier in his life, Brian Moses always found a way to come out on top.
After graduating from Northeastern University, Moses went into real estate working for RE/MAX. However, he quickly discovered that his knowledge of the business was severely lacking. To make matters worse, Moses also found himself in trouble with the Internal Revenue Service.
“They took all the money in my bank account,” he said, adding that his mind became shrouded with thoughts of suicide.
One night, Moses saw motivational speaker Tony Robbins on television and it changed his life. That night, he realized the awesome power of perseverance and knew what he had to do.
“I clawed my way out,” said Moses.
Over time, he bolstered his real estate knowledge and took a job with Coldwell Banker. From there, Moses went on to become the second most profitable real estate agent in the world. In a single month, he sold 60 homes and made $400,000 in commission income.
“Everybody has unlimited potential,” he said. “When you set realistic goals, you have a mediocre life.”
Moses has also had his share of memorable life experiences. These include being a guest on Late Night with David Letterman, walking a horse onto the track at the Kentucky Derby and co-hosting an event with then-President George W. Bush in Las Vegas.
“I collect experiences,” he said. “To meet a U.S. president was on my bucket list.”
Moses is now a real estate trainer, coach and motivational speaker. On Feb. 19, he will fulfill a vision he has had for the past 35 years when he presents NEVER SAY CAN’T! at the Palace Theatre in Manchester.
Speaking about his personal life, Moses said he and his wife Janet were told they could never have children. Although devastated, they were determined to try anyway. After 11 fertility treatments and three miscarriages, their son Hayden was born.
A star football player, Hayden tore his ACL during his senior year at Bishop Guertin High School. Having inherited his father’s will to succeed, Hayden went on to play quarterback for the Vanderbilt University Commodores and won the 2024 Birmingham Bowl.
