NASHUA – Christopher Gagnon, 29, of Dracut, Mass., was taken into custody on Jan. 22 on an arrest warrant for two special felonies.

According to the Nashua Police Department, officers responded to the intersection of Orange and Concord streets on April 29, 2024 for a motor vehicle collision involving a scooter operated by Gagnon.

While conducting their investigation, police discovered that Gagnon was carrying a backpack and a firearm. Officers also reportedly learned that Gagnon was a convicted felon and was prohibited from carrying a gun. A criminal records check indicated that he had been convicted of three robberies.

While searching Gagnon’s backpack, officers allegedly found “marijuana and items consistent with the sale of drugs.”

He has been charged with being an armed career criminal and acts prohibited: possession of marijuana (more than one ounce) with intent to distribute.

Gagnon was released on a $1,000 cash bail and is scheduled to be arraigned in Nashua District Court on March 6.

Under state law, if convicted, Gagnon could face up to 55 years in prison and up to $225,000 in fines.
