Police make 19 arrests under Operation Granite Shield

During a six-week period ending Jan. 10, members of the Hudson and Nashua Police Departments arrested 19 individuals for various drug crimes, crimes frequently associated with criminal behavior related to drug activity and other criminal offenses.
Several of these arrests stemmed from when officers were operating under the New Hampshire Substance Abuse Reduction Grant. Those individuals were as follows:
Luis Rios, 49, was arrested and charged with three counts of the sale of a controlled drug (fentanyl and methamphetamine). Rios was released on personal recognizance bail pending his arraignment in Nashua District Court. Under state law, if convicted, Rios could face up to 90 years in prison and up to $1.5 million in fines.
Brian Vickers, 45, was arrested and charged with two counts of possession of a controlled drug (methamphetamine and crack cocaine). Vickers was released on personal recognizance bail pending his arraignment in Nashua District Court. Under state law, if convicted, Vickers could face up to 14 years in prison, up to 10 years probation and up to $8,000 in fines.
Bret Cooper, 59, was arrested and charged with common nuisance. Cooper was released on personal recognizance bail pending his arraignment in Nashua District Court. Under state law, if convicted, Cooper could face up to seven years in prison, up to five years probation and a fine of up to $4,000.
Luis Escalera, 41, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled drug (crack cocaine). Escalera was released on personal recognizance bail pending his arraignment in Nashua District Court. Under state law, if convicted, Escalera could face up to seven years in prison, up to five years probation and a fine of up to $4,000.
Hayden Wilburn, 31, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled drug (alprazolam) and possession of a controlled drug with intent to distribute (fentanyl). Wilburn refused bail and was held pending his arraignment in Nashua District Court. Under state law, if convicted, Wilburn could face up to 37 years in prison, up to five years probation and up to $504,000 in fines.
Michael Fontaine, 55, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled drug (fentanyl). Fontaine was released on personal recognizance bail pending his arraignment in Nashua District Court. Under state law, if convicted, Fontaine could face up to seven years in prison, up to five years probation and a fine of up to $4,000.
Adam Kulas, 42, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled drug (cocaine). Kulas was released on personal recognizance bail pending his arraignment in Nashua District Court. Under state law, if convicted, Kulas could face up to 15 years in prison, up to five years probation and a fine of up to $4,000.
Paul Johnson, 37, was arrested on a Parole Violation warrant and was subsequently charged with possession of a controlled drug (methamphetamine). Johnson was held without bail at the Hillsborough County House of Corrections pending his arraignment in Nashua District Court. Under state law, if convicted, Johnson could face up to 15 years in prison, up to five years probation and a fine of up to $4,000.
Alissa Gutierrez, 30, was arrested and charged with five counts of possession of a controlled drug (fentanyl, clonazepam, amphetamine/dextroamphetamine, buprenorphine/naloxone, and methadone hydrochloride). Gutierrez was released on personal recognizance pending her arraignment in Nashua District Court. Under state law, if convicted, Gutierrez could face up to 35 years in prison, up to 25 years probation and up to $20,000 in fines.
Julio Santiago Hernandez, 41, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled drug (cocaine) and resisting arrest/detention. Santiago Hernandez was released on $700 cash bail pending his arraignment in Nashua District Court. Under state law, if convicted, Santiago Hernandez could face up to eight years in prison, up to five years probation and up to $5,000 in fines.
Mary Fairfield, 32, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled drug (fentanyl). Fairfield was released on personal recognizance pending her arraignment in Nashua District Court. Under state law, if convicted, Fairfield could face up to seven years in prison, up to five years probation and a fine of up to $4,000.
Jennifer Judd, 29, was arrested and charged with two counts of possession of a controlled drug (fentanyl). Judd was released on personal recognizance bail pending her arraignment in Hillsborough County Superior Court South. Under state law, if convicted, Judd could face up to 14 years in prison, up to 10 years probation and up to $8,000 in fines.
Jessica Cothern, 26, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled drug (fentanyl). Cothern was released on personal recognizance bail pending her arraignment in Hillsborough County Superior Court South. Under state law, if convicted, Cothern could face up to seven years in prison, up to five years probation and a fine of up to $4,000.
Joseph Hall, 36, was arrested and charged with Possession of a controlled drug (fentanyl). Hall was released on personal recognizance bail pending his arraignment in Hillsborough County Superior Court South. Under state law, if convicted, Hall could face up to 15 years in prison, up to five years probation and a fine of up to $4,000.
Stacey Cincotta, 51, was arrested and charged with two counts of possession of a controlled drug (fentanyl and buprenorphine/naloxone). Cincotta was released on personal recognizance bail pending her arraignment in Hillsborough County Superior Court South. Under state law, if convicted, Cincotta could face up to 14 years in prison, up to 10 years probation and up to $8,000 in fines.
James Gibson, 34, was arrested on an out of town warrant. At the time of Gibson’s arrest he was also charged with two counts of possession of a controlled drug (fentanyl and cocaine). Gibson was released to an outside agency pending his arraignment in Hillsborough County Superior Court South. Under state law, if convicted, Cincotta could face up to 30 years in prison, up to 10 years probation and up to $8,000 in fines.
Jessica Berube, 38, was arrested and charged with two counts of possession of a controlled drug (fentanyl and methamphetamine). Berube was released on personal recognizance bail pending her arraignment in Hillsborough County Superior Court South. Under state law, if convicted, Berube could face up to 30 years in prison, up to 10 years probation and up to $8,000 in fines.
Shauna Baldi, 49, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled drug (methamphetamine) and transporting drugs in a motor vehicle. Baldi was released on personal recognizance bail pending her arraignment in Hillsborough County Superior Court South. Under state law, if convicted, Baldi could face up to eight years in prison, up to five years probation and up to $5,000 in fines.
Denis Velez, 43, was arrested and charged with three counts of sale of a controlled drug; (fentanyl and crack cocaine) and two counts of possession of a controlled drug; (fentanyl and crack cocaine). Velez was released on $200 cash bail pending his arraignment in Hillsborough County Superior Court South. Under state law, if convicted, Velez could face up to 120 years in prison, up to five years probation and up to $1.5 million in fines.
